The seat has long gone, but the inscribed stone is still there.

The oak tree was planted in Cambridge Park In Remembrance of Prince Albert in 1863.-



The inscription on the seat reads:-

THIS OAK TREE
IN REMEMBRANCE
OF ALBERT THE PRINCE CONSORT
WAS PLANTED BY CHARLOTTE WIFE OF
MAJOR GENERAL SIR MARCUS JOHN SLADE BART
GOVERNOR OF THIS ISLAND
1863
