In July 1905 Mr Harry Turner posted himself to Sark and came back to Guernsey the same way!

This image shows him and a Post Office messenger telegraph messenger in St Peter Port Harbour on his return from Sark.

THE RETURN TO GUERNSEY

" They next proceeded to view the sights of Sark and re-embarked at 5 o'clock to Guernsey. Here they arrived at 6' o'clock, hundreds of persons assembling on the Albert Pier to see them disembark. On landing Mr Turner was heartily greeted by many of his friends who congratulated him."
