PROF EDWARD FELIX HERROUN - AMATEUR PHOTOGRAPHER
Prof Edward Felix Herroun was born in 1862 in Greenwich, London and died on the 5th January 1953 in Reigate, Surrey; he was unmarried.
His connection to Guernsey is unestablished at this time, but intriguingly he has left to posterity many of his excellent glass negatives (mainly 5 x 4 inch) which were taken in Guernsey over many years and known photographic dates are 1882 and 1902 and maybe 1912. He appears to have a connection with Les Villets in the Parish of 'Forest' - maybe a relation or friend's house. The negatives were found of island by the author.
Prof Herroun main interest appears to be landscape images with a particular leaning towards rock formations and the natural landscape. Only a few images are posted in this gallery, the bulk of them are placed in other categories to make searching easier.
