Short Sunderland MR.5 Flying Boat in St Peter Port Careening Hard

This military flying boat from RAF Kinloss 201 squadron hit a rock outside St. Peter Port on Wednesday 15th September 1954 when coming in to land outside the harbour.

The plane was damaged beyond repair and was transported to the careening hard and then dismantled.
