HMS Charybdis & HMS Limbourne Funeral

This image shows German Officers inspecting the troops at the funeral of the sailors from HMS Charybdis and HMS Limbourne on November 17th 1943.

Both ships were sunk on the 23rd October, with the funeral being on November 17th.

It is believed that this image never made it to the local media as the troops were lacking in discipline by not doing 'Eyes Right' and by also looking at the Officers as they past. This was considered disgraceful.
